Mid-Range Robotic Vacuum Concept
A product design study for a robotic vacuum cleaner.
A project focused on visual development as a tool for market validation — before engineering begins.
Objective:
Not every project requires engineering, calculations and months of prototyping. Sometimes companies need something earlier — a clear visual direction for the product.
Something realistic enough to present to marketing teams, investors or focus groups. Something that helps answer a simple question: Is this the right product to build?
This project started with exactly that request. The client needed a design concept for a mid-range robotic vacuum cleaner, intended for market testing — to evaluate how the product would be perceived in the context of 2025.
Insight:
When a product is still at an early stage, form and visual language become independent tools. They allow you to test:
- Does the product feel contemporary?
- Does it match its price positioning?
- Is the functionality clearly communicated through form?
- Does the aesthetic resonate with the target audience?
At this stage, renders are not decoration — they are part of the decision-making process.
Solution:
The client defined the functional baseline: LiDAR navigation, dual brushes, mopping capability, infrared sensors and a charging dock — positioned within a mid-range price segment.
Our role was not to redesign the engineering, but to shape the product’s form, proportions, materials and visual language.
We explored multiple design directions and developed a series of visual concepts aligned with: expectations of the mid-range segment, current design trends, and the intuitive readability of the product’s functionality.
The result is a set of concepts that feel familiar enough to be understood, yet distinct enough to stand out — clean, contemporary and ready for presentation.
Result:
The project remained at the concept stage and was used for internal testing. This makes it a clear example of how ENSO Concept works not only on production-ready products, but also on visual design studies that help companies validate ideas, shape strategy and reduce risk before development begins.
Sometimes, a well-crafted render is not just an image. It is the first step toward understanding whether a product should exist at all.
