Observation:
Every child has experienced that moment when a shadow on the wall becomes something more — a dragon, a city, an entire world. Adults call it imagination. Children call it something real.
But over time, the environment changed. Everything became brighter, faster, more explicit.
Modern night lights are functional. They illuminate — but they don’t tell anything.
And a child before sleep is not a switch to turn off. It is a moment that needs a transition — a quiet ritual between day and night.
Insight:
If you bring back the language of light and shadow, sleep stops being an obligation. It becomes a journey.
Not through stimulation, but through imagination — where the mind completes the story instead of consuming it.
Solution:
Miri is a night light with a flexible cylindrical screen that transforms a room into a shadow theater.
Soft monochrome animations appear on the walls — birds flying into the distance, a city falling asleep, a quiet forest under the stars.
The device combines:
- soft ambient light
- gentle audio storytelling
- moving shadow projections
Together, they create a calm, immersive bedtime atmosphere — not overwhelming, but inviting.
It’s not entertainment. It’s a ritual of calm.
Stories can be uploaded via a mobile app and combined with sound and animation.
Each evening becomes slightly different — shaped by mood, routine and imagination. Miri does not distract the child. It helps them let go of the day.
